Cinnamon Baked French toast: The Recipe

  • For the French toast:
  • ½ loaf French bread or sourdough
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup half and half
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

For the Topping:

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted


  1. Cut the French bread into equal slices. Place the slices in a casserole or baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, crack eggs. Add milk, half and half, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is well combined.
  3. Pour this mixture over the beard to let it soak.
  4. Cover the baking tray with clingfilm and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
